The Intent of This Blog

This blog is intended to be a tool for the growth of whoever wants to use it. It is a daily journal intended to help us be more introspective. Every day I will do my best to supply a motivational quote, a Bible verse, a vocabulary word, and a personal message from myself. Use these if you like as motivation to improve yourself. Then, simply answer the daily questions provided honestly and see if it has an impact on your life. Zig Ziglar said, "If you don't have daily objectives, you qualify as a dreamer." Lets not be just dreamers but doers. Remember Martin Luther King Jr not only had a dream, he also had an objective. Thanks for reading, Jake

Come On... Have Some Fun

"People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing." Dale Carnegie

There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God.  Ecclesiastes 2:24

Jollification:  "lively celebration with others; merrymaking"  New Oxford American Dictionary

It goes without saying, life can be stressful, hectic, even plain upsetting at times.  That's why some say it's a "rat race."  Even trying to do what's right and living a meaningful life can cause distress at times.  There comes a time for everyone to just have fun, to have a little bit jollification; maybe even a lot.  You might remember, Jesus used His first recorded miracle to supply a wedding party with wine when it ran out.  Apparently He thought it was important enough to have fun that He performed a miracle for it.  Can you think of another time Jesus performed a miracle for anything that was remotely frivolous?  Maybe He thought having fun wasn't quite as inconsequential as some may think, maybe He thought it was important too.  But before we get any ideas, remember what Proverbs 20:1 says, Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.”  I think we all know that to be about as true as anything.  So let’s have fun, let’s be wise, and let’s be happy.

Daily Journaling Questions:
  1. How did I help someone in kindnss today?
  2. What did I learn today?
  3. What am I thankful for?
  4. Who did I love today?
  5. What am I dreaming for?
  6. What about today do I want to remember forever?
  7. What are my goals for tomorrow?
Thanks for reading.
Jake
