The Intent of This Blog

This blog is intended to be a tool for the growth of whoever wants to use it. It is a daily journal intended to help us be more introspective. Every day I will do my best to supply a motivational quote, a Bible verse, a vocabulary word, and a personal message from myself. Use these if you like as motivation to improve yourself. Then, simply answer the daily questions provided honestly and see if it has an impact on your life. Zig Ziglar said, "If you don't have daily objectives, you qualify as a dreamer." Lets not be just dreamers but doers. Remember Martin Luther King Jr not only had a dream, he also had an objective. Thanks for reading, Jake

Getting Out of Our Way

Never let the fear of striking out get in your way.” George Herman “Babe” Ruth

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20

Fortitude: “courage in pain or adversity” New Oxford American Dictionary

Recently I heard of a man named Peter White. He does a documentary series for BBC radio called, “Blind Man Roams the Globe.” When I heard of him I knew I had to hear his show. I wanted to get a perspective of world adventures through the senses of a blind person. It was fascinating to hear San Francisco described without visual descriptions, to hear it described using sounds, smells, and feelings. But as I was listening I was struck by something else, I was impressed with how courageous this man was. Not only does he travel around the world constantly having to ask people for help and directions, somehow he had the idea that he could travel through and describe the world as a blind person. Then he actually stuck to his idea, and followed through on his plan. If Peter White has the ability to be a blind tour guide, what do you think we can accomplish? Let's all try to be a little more like Peter White, forget about our fears and doubts, and follow through on our ideas. What if we could all eliminate our biggest obstacles, ourselves?

Daily Journaling Questions:
  1. How did I help someone in kindness today?
  2. What did I learn today?
  3. What am I thankful for?
  4. Who did I love today?
  5. What am I dreaming of?
  6. What about today do I want to remember forever?
  7. What are my goals for tomorrow?

  1. Question: What is your light?

It's the shinning light on the hill.
    The ROCK!

I know what it is like to not be able to see what YOU see at 400ft, I have to be 20 feet away to see it, and then just barely because things are still fuzzy and multiple images.. so there is a paranoia of being out in public because you just can't see whats going on... like is someone possibly up to no good?,, is there something going to run me down?

Recently I had to go on a trip (so I can relate to the story YOU put up of Peter White) and actually go on a plane and (I) (that letter (I) that always gets in the way).... and I had to trust people along the way.
Before I left my continued prayer was Lord please Father I ask that you would be in charge of every aspect of my trip.

Including blessing the guy that's going to tighten the "Lug Nuts" that hold the wheel on the plane.... that he has a good nights sleep and that he sets the torque wrench to the proper ft lbs.

PLEASE READ the first couple pages of Ezekiel.

His vision of a "wheel within a wheel"... does that sound like a jet... and the things under each wing and they each have four wings... maybe rockets... if you have ever been anywhere close behind an F14 Tomcat as it takes off full throttle... is Ezekiel's vision a jet?

I know the F14 is outdated now but it wasn't when I was your age.

Is that thing that glows at night the canopy glowing red from the instruments? Is that canopy have the color's of the "Bow".... as in the Rainbow... from the sun shinning on it like the sun on a prism?

Is the noise that sounds like the voice of God the engines screaming at full thrust?

God's speed kid in your adoption...

I wish I could give you all the money for all that is needed for the adoption... all I can do is offer a solemn prayer.

Lord Father in heaven, I ask in Thy Holy Name that You would forgive Jacob and Whitney Summers for any sins they may have committed and that You would no longer hold Jacob and Whitney accountable for any sins their for-fathers or fore-mothers may have committed (Exodus 34-7 ) and Lord would you please send your Holy Spirit and Angels to always be with Jacob and Whitney now and forever more to lead them into all truth and righteousness and Lord would You please now quickly and swiftly give Jacob and Whitney Summers everything they need to either begat a child or adopt a child.

Jacob will be a fine father after Your own heart Lord.

  2. Thank you so much for your comment and your prayer, it means so much to me. Let me start by saying I'm so sorry it's taken this long to get a reply to you. I didn't see your comment until just now. It's funny you should talk about jets. I happen to be an f-15 fuel systems technician. In essence you've said at least two prayers for me now. Because when you prayed for people who maintain the aircraft you were praying for me. When it comes to the fuel system, I have the ability to say an aircraft is worthy of flight. That's a huge responsibility and I appreciate your prayers. I've read Ezekiel and the imagery is fascinating. At first I thought along the same lines you did. "Could Ezekiel be describing a helicopter or a jet?" At times maybe. But in the first couple chapters are describing the throne of God and I don't believe a fighter jet could be the throne of God. But it's very interesting to think about. Again, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I know my wife appreciates them as well. I pray for your life, that it will be fulfilling. I can't imagine the trials living without good vision. I only hope that I could be as brave as you who do. I can't wait until the day that God restores our bodies to what they were meant to be. Even for the most physically blessed among us, it will be an awesome change.
