The Intent of This Blog

This blog is intended to be a tool for the growth of whoever wants to use it. It is a daily journal intended to help us be more introspective. Every day I will do my best to supply a motivational quote, a Bible verse, a vocabulary word, and a personal message from myself. Use these if you like as motivation to improve yourself. Then, simply answer the daily questions provided honestly and see if it has an impact on your life. Zig Ziglar said, "If you don't have daily objectives, you qualify as a dreamer." Lets not be just dreamers but doers. Remember Martin Luther King Jr not only had a dream, he also had an objective. Thanks for reading, Jake

The Perfect Plan Of Faults

“An escalator can never break: it can only become stairs. You should never see an Escalator Temporarily Out of Order sign, just Escalator Temporarily Stairs. Sorry for the convenience.” - Mitch Hedberg

For I know the plans I have for you, declares thee LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. - Jeremiah 29:11

Plan: “a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something” - New Oxford American Dictionary

What did you do today, or yesterday, that you felt was part of God’s plan for you? I may not know you. I may not know your relationship with God. I don’t even know if you have a relationship with Him. But I know the answer to the question. The answer is EVERYTHING! That’s a scary answer I know. “What if yesterday I killed someone,” you might be wondering. “How could murder be part of God’s plan for my life?” Because your still living. This very moment you could accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Whatever you’ve done. Whatever you’ve thought or wished. Whatever evil things any of us have contrived… Jesus can still be our Lord and Savior. He said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but the sinners.” - Mark 2:17 Here’s the catch. We’re all sick. We’re all sinners. We all need Jesus. Sure, some of us deserve prison too, but all of us deserve the consequences of sin. We all deserve death. Because we’ve all sinned. However, God is able to reach into our lives and use us despite our faults. Despite our shortcomings. Despite whatever we’ve done. In fact, He needs you because of what you’ve done. Maybe you’re the only one who can bring His love into the jails. Perhaps you can minister to the addicted. Perhaps your role is to comfort those in need. Our pasts can all be part of God’s future for us when we choose to be used by Him. You may be ridden with guilt. He can make it purposeful. You may be sorrowful. He can use it to comfort. You may be feeling perfect. He can humble. Let’s reject the feeling that our faults have limited our use. Let’s realize the use we have for the Lord. Our lives are in His hands. Rest comfortably in His embrace. Give your past, your thoughts, your feelings to Him. Let Him use you and your life, whatever it is or has been, can become a plan of God. God has a plan for all of us. How good does that feel? How awesome is that to know? How could that change the world if we could only realize it fully? Let’s do what we can to realize it fully.
